The Canaries largest island, Tenerife, has so much to offer. There is so much to do in Tenerife, with many excursions on offer there really is something for everyone but if you are looking for a relaxing beach holiday then look no further. Tenerife has many beautiful beaches across the Island for you to choose from. We have taken a look at some of the spectacular beaches that we think that may interest you. Playa del Duque, Costa Adeje Playa del Duque is on the south-west coast of Tenerife. The beach here consists of fine, light sand and is a very clean, well maintained area. Here you can choose from lounging on one of the many sun loungers or if you would rather not pay you are more than welcome to use your own beach towel. Take advantage of the stone free sea to cool yourself down. As well as plenty of sun loungers you will find lovely straw parasols for shade and an elegant beach bar for all your refreshments. Behind the beach you will find the promenade laid-out out on different levels and home to many shops and cafes. If this is a little too expensive for your liking, it is roughly a ten-minute walk to Fanabe where there is a huge variety of shops, restaurants and bars to suit all budgets. Playa de las Vistas, Los Cristianos Playa de las Vistas is one of the largest and most popular beaches in Tenerife. This beach has plenty to offer – it has many sun loungers and parasols, showers and toilets and even massage tents. It is even wheelchair accessible. Playa de las Vistas is ideal for families as only small waves reach the bay due to the wave-breakers, so the conditions are perfect for small children wanting to swim or paddle. For anyone wanting more than just to lie on the sand for their beach holiday, Playa de las Vistas offers many water-sport activities, beach volleyball and beach-ball courts. This beach is walking distance from many hotels and close to a shopping centre and many restaurants. The promenade connects to the close by beaches of Las Americas. Playa del Medano, El Medano Playa del Medano is another beautiful beach situated on the south coast of Tenerife. This beach gets shelter from the many high buildings surrounding the area. Unfortunately, the nearby buildings can be off putting for some but if you can get past that, this centrally placed beach is perfect for sunbathing and swimming a like. Playa del Medano has a dedicated area just for people wanting to swim. Close by is Playa de Leocadio Machado, which is a hotspot for kite-surfers so when sunbathing at Playa del Medano enjoy the views of the colourful kites and the boards whizzing past. Playa Bollullo, Puerto de la Cruz Playa Bollullo is one of the prettiest all-natural beaches in Tenerife. There is a small car park above the beach if you choose to drive there. Playa Bollullo is a 300-metre-long black sanded beach and offers a lifeguard and a small beach bar. This beach is popular with local youths and young adults as well as surfers looking to take on the enormous waves.
